This was our first visit. My son fractured his pinky and we were referred to him. It was a bit of a drive for us to Fairborn from Middletown but it was definitely worth the trip. Dr. Malarkey has tremendous bedside manner,listens intently to what the patient is describing in terms of pain,and movement of action in terms of how injury interferes with your job. Surgery has not been performed yet,as mine is a workers compensation case. Follow up review would be forthcoming. He requested a specific 3D MRI that no other Healthcare provider has done. It's proved the reality of my injury with both of my shoulders.
Eta; surgery was successful and follow up care was exceptional! Good listener to patients thoughts/wishes as to future goals. I'll put it this way,..he was so good I'm going to have him do my other shoulder as well. My highest regard to this provider!

Outstanding... every appointment has been a quick in and out. From the time I arrive I am called in to see the Dr withing 10min and he is prompt. Each appointment has only taken approximately 30min from the time I check in!

Had nerve damage to both elbows and carpal tunnel on both wrist. Dr. Malarkey operated on the wrist and elbow on my left arm in January 2022 and my arm and wrist (hand) feel pretty good now. In April 2022, Dr. Malarkey operated on my right elbow and wrist. My hand is still some what sore (lower palm by the wrist). My elbow still aches sometimes and has woken me up (quite a lot). I can't blame Dr. Malarkey for this because around ten years ago I slipped on ice and cracked my right elbow Never had it checked out and now I can't fully straighten out my right arm. Dr. Malarkey had to work with what was there. I am hoping that maybe in a year from the operation that the elbow will have healed. Maybe I need to go back in and have a cortisone shot in the elbow. One more thing, on my left arm the doctor that gave me a nerve block in January did so up in my left armpit. It worked great and I had no feeling in my arm from the shoulder down. It took around twenty minutes to go completely numb. This doctor retired before I had my right arm done. The doctor that did my right arm said there was an improved method and he gave me a nerve block in my right shoulder between my neck and shoulder. On top. By the time I was ready for my operation (roughly thirty to forty minutes) I could still move my hand and arm a little. Right after the operation when I woke up my elbow hurt like crazy and the nurse had to give me some pain killers. My right hand and arm never did go numb like my left arm did and full feeling came back in roughly two hours. I don't like the new and improved method of a nerve block in the top of the shoulder, it doesn't work. At least on me it didn't work.

Doctor A,I've been avoiding you !Not really. I have been experiencing debilitating computer issues for the past several weeks (just resolved yesterday). I'm now starting to catch up with my emails.1. Right pinky finger: very limited range of motion; no pain unless I try to make a fist.2. Right ring finger: somewhat limited range of motion; a / the tendon ""snaps"" when I try to make a fist. Still exercising it (to no avail). I am able to grasp a golf club; your super-human efforts have NOT led to a reduction in my score. However, I've only been out once so far.
